Faculty and Coaches FREE parking

Starting this fall, California University of PA will be offering free parking to APSCUF members (faculty and coaches) in pre-designated areas on campus.

Two hundred seventy five (275) spaces have been designated as free parking: 200 spaces in LOT 4 (River Lot) and 76 spaces in LOT 14.

Parking in these designated spaces is available on a first come, first serve basis.  Drivers must register their vehicles in the Office of Parking and Transportation and properly display a special permit.

Those faculty interested in free parking should return their paid permit to the Parking and Transportation office, located in Manderino Library, room 123  by Thursday, September 6, 2012 so payroll deduction can be stopped. At that time, you will be issued a free parking sticker, which is to be displayed on the left hand side (driver’s side) of the vehicle’s rear window.

Permits are renewable. Only one will be issued per person.  Free permit holders may register up to three vehicles to their permit.

Those utilizing the free parking option must park in the designated areas in Lot 4 or Lot 14.  If there are no free designated spaces available in Lots 4 or 14, you can access LOT 24 (Roadman Park) and use the Vulcan Flyer Shuttle.

As previously stated, free spaces are first come, first served and having a permit does not guarantee that a free space will be available. Parking outside the designated free space area will result in a citation.

Those faculty and coaches wishing to retain their existing space and lot can continue to pay for their existing permit.

Free permits will not be recognized during large events, commencements, concerts or other events open to the general public.

Returning Existing Permits

Faculty who wish to receive a free parking permit must return their existing permit before September 6, 2012 to the Office of Parking & Transportation.

Drivers who return a paid parking permit may place their name onto a waitlist in the event they would like to return to paid parking.
