2012 PEBTF Open Enrollment

October 1 – October 19

 

Each fall, Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education employees (PASSHE) who are covered by the Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF) health benefits have an opportunity to review their coverage and make changes for the coming year.  This year’s open enrollment period is October 1 – October 19.  All changes must be completed in Employee Self Service (ESS) or returned to your university human resources office no later than October 19.  All changes made will become effective January 1, 2013.

ü  Review open enrollment newsletter that was mailed to you in mid-September to learn about the different plan options.

ü  Compare the plan options and costs against the coverage you currently have.

ü  Check to see if your health care providers or facilities are in the plan’s network.

 

 

The PASSHE Employee Self Service (ESS) portal can be accessed through https://portal.passhe.edu/irj/portal.

 

ü  Use to add or remove medical or supplemental (dental, prescription drug, vision and hearing aid) coverage.

ü  Add or remove dependents, and/or change plans.

ü  Provides instructions on how to utilize ESS to make changes during Open Enrollment by clicking on the Employee Self-Service tab, then clicking on “Help Documents” and PEBTF Health Enrollment.

 

In addition, your university HR office can provide and process a paper PEBTF-2 enrollment form for you to change plans or add or remove dependents.
