Please mark your calendars!

You are invited to join us again as a judge for the Sixth Annual Teaching with Primary Sources History Day competition at California University of PA on February 4, 2013.  This competition prepares students for entry into the regional National History Day competition at the Heinz History Center, March 2nd & 3rd, 2013.  The theme for 2013 is Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, Events.

Cal U student judges can include this service learning activity in their LiveText portfolio.

This year’s local competition involves students and teachers from the Belle Vernon, Charleroi, Uniontown, Trinity, Sewickley Academy and Central Christian school districts.  The competition takes place on Cal U’s main campus in California, PA, in the Natali Student Center.

The competition will have individual and/or group entrants in both the junior (grades 6-8) and senior (grades 9-12) divisions.  Competition categories include: exhibits, documentaries, research papers, web sites, and stage performances.

Please register with Lynne Berdar at 724-938-6025 or berdar@calu.edu as soon as possible so we can coordinate your participation.

Thank you,
