According to the CUR website: “The mission of the Council on Undergraduate Research is to support and promote high-quality undergraduate student-faculty collaborative research and scholarship.” CUR has an inclusive approach to undergraduate research in all academic areas, defining it as “An inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline.” Founded in 1978, CUR is a national organization representing over 900 colleges and universities.
With your individual membership, you will receive a free electronic subscription to the CUR Quarterly, a publication of the Council of Undergraduate Research.
To take advantage of this excellent (and free) professional development opportunity, please visit http://www.cur.org/membership/become_a_member/individual_online_application/
After you enter your name and title, be sure to select “Name of your institution” from the drop down menu. You should receive a message that your membership is covered and then be prompted to continue to add your contact information.
Once your membership is processed, you will receive a confirmation email and will be able to register for “members only” online access.
