    Janis M. Zivic ’64 Endowed Scholarship Application

     

    Eligibility:

    *      Current undergraduate student, with a minimum of 12 credit hours per term.

    *      Minimum, overall 3.0 GPA.

    *      Have demonstrated financial need.

    *      Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they have advanced the mission of Cal U’s or surrounding LGBTQIA communities, by active involvement in the Rainbow Alliance or local LBTQIA organization.

    You must include the following with this application:

    *      A copy of your student activities transcript--please make sure this includes all of your participation in the Rainbow Alliance and your community service (in LGBTQIA community organizations.)

    *      A copy of your academic transcript.

    *      A brief personal statement (100 – 150 words) of how LGBTQIA issues have affected your life.

    *      A 250 – 500 word essay (double-spaced with 12-point font and 1-inch margins on all pages), addressing:      

    1.        Your work to advance the mission of the LGBTQIA community on campus and in the surrounding communities through your participation and/or leadership in LGBT related organizations or activities.  

    2.       Your future educational and career goals.

    3.       Concisely indicate how this scholarship would financially assist you during the 2013- 2014 academic year

    *      Applications must be received NO LATER than 4:00 PM, May 24, 2013.
