Examining Domestic Violence from a Survivor’s Perspective: TED Talk

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Women’s Studies Program will be examining different facets of this pervasive issue. For our first program, we will show a TED Talk about survivor Leslie Morgan Steiner as she talks about her experience as a victim of domestic violence, why victims do not always leave, and transforming from victim to survivor. Dr. McClintock-Comeaux will lead a discussion following the TED Talk.

When: Tuesday October 1st, 2013

Time: 11:00am-12:15pm

Where: Duda 117
