Brief Description of this Position:
The Graduate Assistant assists the AOD Prevention Specialist in all aspects of the OPTIONS at CAL U peer education prevention program.
Preferred Skills:
Supervision, planning, organization, good communication including written and presentation, program promotion (PR), computer skills
Responsibilities:
-Assist facilitator with the development of OPTIONS at CAL U presentations
-Research alcohol and other drug prevention trends in higher education
-Assist with the scheduling and planning of OPTIONS at CAL U presentations
-Along with facilitator, serve as the student supervisor for the Peer Educators
-Become trained as a Peer Educator, and fill in for scheduled presentations in the residence halls, classrooms, and other campus locations as needed
-Serve as a resource at promotional events
