Cal U Global Online offers two new programs in land management that will prepare students for roles in oil and gas exploration:

  • The Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence: Land Management emphasizes legal topics related to the oil and gas industry, oil- and gas-related land management, surface and sub-surface geology and geographical information systems (GIS). Designed for students who hold an associate degree or have completed at least 40 college credits, the bachelor’s degree program may be completed in four to six semesters, depending on the number of credit-hours earned prior to admission.
  • The Land Management Certificate is an accelerated program for students with at least a high school diploma. The 30-credit program, which can be completed in five semesters, focuses on legal topics, oil- and gas-related land management, geology and geographical information systems (GIS).

Both online land management programs are designed to prepare students for challenging positions in the oil and gas industry, including staff or operations landman, support staff for an energy company or third-party contractor, property manager, leasing manager, or title abstractor. Students who enroll in the bachelor’s degree program may be eligible for the Joe Hardy Scholarship for Land Management Studies.

Cal U Global Online also will launch its Master of Business Administration: Entrepreneurship in a 100% online format. Full-time students can complete the MBA program in just 12 months; a part-time schedule also is available.

The online MBA: Entrepreneurship program is designed for recent college graduates and business professionals who seek advanced managerial skills. It addresses the industry trends facing today’s business professionals while maintaining the academic integrity of the graduate-level business program offered at Cal U for more than 35 years.

Applications for all three new programs are being accepted now for the Fall 2014 semester, which begins Aug. 25, 2014. Applicants should contact the Cal U Global Online office at 866-595-6348 or direct inquiries to landmanagement@calu.edu or msbusinessonline@calu.edu.
