Beginning on the morning of Monday, August 4th, a paving contractor will begin mobilizing their equipment and setting up safety barricades in preparation for the milling and repaving of 3rd Street, Hickory Street and Lot #21. This project will be broken into 3 phases so Emergency vehicles will be able to access the Health Center at Carter Hall.
The 3 phases are identified below:
Phase 1 - Intersection of 3rd and University Avenue up to lot #20. Vehicles entering campus will still be able to make a left turn toward Eberly Hall and access to Carter Hall will be from 6th Street and Hickory Street.
Phase 2 - Hickory Street from Lot #20 access up to Lot #17 and #19 access. Emergency vehicles requiring access to the Health Center at Carter Hall will be able to utilize 3rd Street and Hickory Street during this phase.
Phase 3 - 3rd Street from the intersection of East Alley up to the intersection with University Avenue. Emergency vehicles requiring access to Carter Hall can utilize 6th Street and Hickory Street.
Weather permitting we expect this work to take approximately 2 weeks to complete. Any additional temporary rerouting of vehicle traffic or changes will be identified in future announcements.
