The Office of Social Equity has updated the following two University policies:

Policy Statements and Compliance Procedures on Equal Education and Employment Opportunity and Social Equity (EEEO)

The University is an equal opportunity employer that complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws, statutes, orders and regulations prohibiting harassment, unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment and discrimination against people with disabilities.

Gender-Based/Sexual Misconduct (Title IX) Policy

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects persons from sex discrimination in educational programs and activities at institutions that receive federal financial assistance.  The University is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination on the basis of sex.  Additionally, this policy outlines the grievance procedures for Gender-Based/Sexual Misconduct at California University of Pennsylvania.

You can easily access both policies via the following link:

www.calu.edu/SEpolicies

Please take the time to read them thoroughly as they contain valuable information regarding gender-based sexual misconduct, sexual harassment and other violations of EEEO and Title IX legislation and the steps to take should you experience sexual harassment on campus.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Office of Social Equity, South Hall 112 (Mailbox #9), 724-938-4014, or SocialEquity@calu.edu.
