Presents Jon Jennings

The California University of Pennsylvania’s (CalU) Meteorology Club will be hosting its third speaker of the fall semester, Jon Jennings, as part of its Fall Colloquia Series lineup.

 

Jon Jennings will be speaking on Thursday, November 6th   at 11:00 a.m. in the Eberly Building of Science and Technology, room 120.

 

A meteorologist for the West Texas Weather Modification Association out of San Angelo, Texas, Jennings issues a daily forecast for an 8 county area and also runs rain enhancement/hail suppression operations on summertime convective thunderstorms.  He is also in charge of both Research and Government Relations for the Texas Weather Modification Association. 

 

His presentation will be about the drought situation in Texas and how it has impacted water resources across the state.  He will also be talking about the future of water and how weather modification can help impact the sustainability of water resources across the state.
