Meteorology/Earth Sciences Colloquia Series

Presents Kevin Wagner

The California University of Pennsylvania’s (CalU) Meteorology Club will be hosting its final speaker of the fall semester, Kevin Wagner, as part of its Fall Colloquia Series lineup.

 

Wagner will be speaking at 5pm, on December 5th in the Eberly Building of Science and Technology, room 120.

 

Kevin Wagner in an Incident Analyst with iMapData, Inc. where his primary focus is tracking domestic incidents and weather-related threats.  He previously worked for the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management and the Montgomery County (PA) Department of Public Safety.  Kevin is a member of the National Weather Association's Committee of Societal Impacts of Weather and Climate and has previously done research on the relationship between weather and emergency management.

 

Kevin graduated from Cal U in 2009 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Geography, specializing in GIS and Emergency Management.  While at Cal, he was active in CUTV, WCAL, Meteorology Club and Alpha Phi Omega, the campus' service fraternity.  Kevin’s talk will be about emergency management and how it has and will change and its relationship to meteorology and GIS.
