As previously announced, the University found it necessary to close campus and cancel all classes due to the state of emergency in the California Borough; power outages that existed in many areas, including Vulcan Village; and extreme weather and road conditions, among other factors. Please note that there are no plans to extend the academic calendar due to this cancelled week, and all spring events (Honors Convocation, Spring Break, Reading Day, Finals Week, Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement, etc.) will be held on their regularly scheduled dates and as per the current academic calendar posted for Spring 2010. As noted in the earlier announcement, we expect that classes will resume on Saturday, February 13th, and Manderino Library is expected to open on that date as well, with the University fully operational on Monday, February 15th.
Additional information regarding this matter has been forwarded to all students, faculty and staff, so please read your email.
Please know that your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we all work together to get through this difficult period.
