April 30, 2010

A ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. May 5 to dedicate the new tennis courts at Roadman Park. The six courts have the same Deco Turf surface used at some of the world's most prestigious tennis competitions, including the U.S. Open and the NCAA championships.

This event was rescheduled after being canceled because of inclement weather earlier in the academic year.

In April the Vulcan captured their fourth consecutive PSAC team championship. The team has six PSAC championships overall.

The top seed in the Atlantic Region, the team will host the NCAA Divison II Atlantic Sub Regional May 6-8. Cal's first action will be May 7 against East Stroudsburg or Mercyhurst at 2 p.m. The winner of this event will advance to the round of 16 at the NCAA II National Championships May 12-15 in Altamont Springs, Fla.

Cal (21-5) is making its sixth consecutive NCAA post-season appearance and seventh in the past eight seasons under head coach Pablo Montana.
