Closing its 2010 spring season, California University's Department of Theatre and Dance presents the Drama Critics Circle award-winning play Arcadia.

Performance times in Steele Hall's Mainstage Theatre are 8 p.m. April 15-17, with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 17.

Director is Dr. Michael Slavin. The cast includes Lara Sodomin, Kent Hess,

Ashlie Hollis, Jess Parker, Don Tate, Steve Singer, Laura Nichols, Catherine Hoefler, Phil Oglevee, Allen Pines, Alejandro Matos, and Katey O'Connor. Ashley Robertson is the stage manager.

The play begins in 1809 and follows the Coverly family through a century of change and intrigue. Overflowing with jokes, puns and parodies, the play moves smoothly between the past and present, exploring the nature of truth and time, the differences between classical and romantic temperaments, and the disruptive influence of sex on life.

Performances are open to the public. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children. Cal U students with valid CalCards are admitted free but must pay a $5.00 deposit, which will be returned when they attend the performance.

For ticket information, or to order tickets (with a credit card) by phone, call the Steele Box Office at 724-938-5943 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
