Cal U’s Institute of Criminal and Forensic Sciences is offering online training courses in criminal behavioral sciences. Presented in partnership with the Academy Group Inc., the courses are taught by former FBI special agents.

Alumni Celebrations

Cal U honors alumni, recognizes faculty and raises scholarship funds during the 2010 Alumni Weekend and President’s Gala, set for June 4-5. The gala, “The Golden Age of Hollywood,” will be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel, Pittsburgh.

Tennis Team Falls in NCAA Quarterfinals

The women’s tennis team’s 2010 season ended with a 5-2 loss to Hawaii Pacific University in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament on May 13.

SAI Buys 98 Acres Near Roadman Park

To provide more recreational space for students, the Student Association Inc. has purchased a 98-acre parcel adjoining Roadman Park. Purchase of the former Harris property increases the overall size of the Cal U campus by 50 percent.

The President's Commission on the Status of Women at Cal U honored three students as Outstanding Women of the Year during a luncheon on April 30.

Vulcans: PSAC Baseball Champs

Cal U’s baseball team captured the PSAC Baseball Championship by winning four consecutive games at the eight-team tournament contested April 28-May 1 in Johnstown, Pa. The Vulcans defeated Kutztown in the championship finals, 10-9.
