California University of Pennsylvania is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students. Cal U will continue to cooperate in efforts to make our campus, and the surrounding community, a safe place to learn and to live.

  • Read the President's Message to the parents and families of our Cal U students.
  • Read a message from Police Chief Bob Downey regarding the safety and security of our Cal U students.  
  • Register for Cal U Text Alerts. A username and password is required; you may register two mobile phone numbers when signing up for text alerts. Registration is free; your cell phone plan will apply the usual charges to receive a text message.
  • Find help at our Cal U Counseling Center, 724-938-4056. Or call 724-938-4232 to reach a nurse who can put you in touch with a crisis center or hotline 24 hours a day.
