HEAR DR. CHARLES NEMETH ON KDKA RADIO
Posted on October 20, 2010
Dr. Charles P Nemeth, director of the Institute for Law and
Public Policy, will be a guest on the
Mike Pintak Show at 1:05 p.m. today on KDKA radio. Nemeth will discuss
his article "Marcellus Shale in the Commonwealth: Bonanza or Bust for a State
Desperate for Jobs," which suggests a legislative alternative to high taxes on drilling. His article warns
that taxing could slow down the industry before it starts, and suggests that
the commonwealth focuses on creating jobs and placing environmental
accountability in the hands of individual drilling companies. Drilling companies
would be bonded, insured, and have an established fund for accidents and
disasters, rather than seek a high level of government involvement. Toward the end of
the show, Nemeth will answer questions from callers. You can listen to the show on KDKA radio 1020 AM, or through
streaming audio by clicking here. Note:
Dr. Nemeth's interview is now over. A link to the archived interview on KDKA radio will be posted when available.
