AD WINS EDUCATIONAL ADVERTISING AWARD
Posted on March 1, 2012
A 30-second advertisement for Cal U is among the
winners of the 27th annual Educational Advertising Award, sponsored
by Higher Education Marketing Report. The bronze award honors “Built,” the second
advertising spot created for Cal U by Little
Fluffy Clouds, an award-winning animation studio in San
Francisco. The ad also won a 2012 Pixie Award for from the American
Pixel Academy for outstanding creativity in motion graphics, effects
and animation. Like “Journey,” the first ad in the series, “Built”
resembles a watercolor painting. It shows an architectural drawing coming to
life as a student bicycles across the campus to the new Convocation Center. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational
advertising awards competition in the country. This year, more than 2,900
entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary
schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. Higher Education Marketing Report is a product of HMR Publications, a
source for marketing news and information from around the nation in the fields
of higher education and healthcare marketing.
