Dr. Lisa McBride has been honored by the National Diversity Council with a 2012 Pennsylvania Multicultural Leadership Award. She will receive her award Sept. 13 at the third annual Pittsburgh Diversity and Leadership Conference.

For the 8th consecutive year, The Princeton Review has listed Cal U among the best colleges and universities in the northeastern United States. Just 222 schools made the 2013 list - about 25 percent of all colleges in the Northeast.

The Foundation for California University of Pennsylvania has been awarded a $600,000 grant from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to restore and enhance fish and wildlife habitat on agricultural lands in Pennsylvania.

HISTORY CENTER PUBLISHES INTERN'S PROJECT

Miriah O'Connor '12 recently completed an internship in the library and archives at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh. Now her work has been published in the center's 'Western Pennsylvania History' magazine.
