CONVOCATION CENTER TO BE CLOSED FOR FILMING

The Convocation Center will be closed and a portion of the Loop Road will be inaccessible to traffic Dec. 16-23 while movie scenes are filmed on campus. Learn how members of the campus community may apply to appear as 'extras' in the film.

STUDENTS STUFF A BUS WITH TOYS FOR TOTS

For the second consecutive year, Student Government is leading a Toys for Tots drive through the Stuff-a-Bus program. At 11 a.m. today, Santa will drive the Vulcan Flyer to the front of the Natali Student Center to pick up the toys.

MUSICIANS PERFORM 'FOOTBALL' THEME

Two faculty members and several Cal U music students joined the Washington Symphony Orchestra when it taped the Monday Night Football theme song for the Nov. 19 football game televised nationally by ESPN. Click "more" to view the segment and learn more about Cal U's involvement.

VOLLEYBALL TEAM FALLS IN NCAA REGIONAL FINALS

In its 7th consecutive appearance in post-season play, the women's volleyball team lost, 3-1, to Wheeling-Jesuit University in the finals of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament on Dec. 1.

The Freezin' 5K race and fun walk begins today at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in Parking Lot 2, across from the Eberly Science and Technology Center. Visitor parking is available in the Vulcan Garage, off Third Street near the campus entrance.

The women’s soccer team lost to Slippery Rock, 1-0, in the NCAA Division II Tournament game at the Phillipsburg Soccer Facility. They end the season with a 16-5-1 overall record.
