STUDENTS STUFF A BUS WITH TOYS FOR TOTS
Posted on November 26, 2012
For the second
consecutive year, Student Government is leading a toy collection in conjunction with
the 96.1 KISS Stuff-a-Bus program. Student Government members will stuff a Vulcan Flyer with donated toys at 11 a.m. Nov.
29
in front of the Natali Student Center. Santa is expected to arrive, driving the bus, at 10:45 a.m. Many Cal U
clubs and organizations are participating, including the InterResidence
Hall Council, SABUG, Acacia, Alpha Sigma Tau and the Black Student Union. Anyone from the campus community is
welcome to donate a toy or a monetary gift. Donations of
new toys are welcome through Dec. 7. Drop-boxes are located at the Natali
Information Desk, as well as inside Steele Hall and the Herron Recreation and
Fitness Center. Already more
than $3,000 worth of toys have been collected, and the Student Association Inc.
has donated $1,000. Donations received by Nov. 27 will go to needy children in Allegheny County through the annual 96.1 KISS Stuff-A-Bus toy drive. Donations made between Nov. 28 and Dec. 7 benefit the Washington County Toys for Tots toy drive. For more information, contact Student
Government President Alexandra Brooks at bro8931@calu.edu.
