

RUNNER SET FOR NCAA D-II CHAMPIONSHIP

Junior Aaron Dinzeo earned All-America status after posting the
second-fastest time of his career in the 5,000-meter run at the 2013 NCAA
Division II Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Distance runner Aaron Dinzeo will compete in
the 5,000-meter event at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National
Championships. The championships will be held March 7-9 in
Birmingham, Ala. Dinzeo is scheduled to compete at 8:10 p.m.
March 8. This is the first time that Dinzeo, a junior,
has qualified for the NCAA Championships. Earlier this indoor season, at Kent State University,
Dinzeo recorded the 10th- fastest time in NCAA Division II after
setting a personal best time of 14 minutes, 19.65 seconds At the PSAC meet he earned all-conference
honors in the 5,000 meters for the second straight year after
finishing second overall with a time of 14:46.08.UPDATE March 8, 2013
Dinzeo placed seventh overall, crossing the finish line in 14 minutes, 20.60
seconds. He earned All-America laurels in track & field for the first time
in his career after being an All-American in cross country in 2011.
