

SWIMMER COMPETES IN NCAA D-II CHAMPIONSHIP

Junior swimmer Clarissa
Enslin placed seventh and earned All-American honors in the 100-yard freestyle
finals with a time of 51.27 seconds at the NCAA Division II Championships in
Birmingham, Ala. She finished sixth
out of 47 swimmers with a time of 50.88 seconds in the preliminary round before
advancing to the finals. Junior swimmer
Clarissa Enslin placed 20th in the 200-yard freestyle preliminary
round at the NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Enslin finished with
a time of 1:52.52 but did not advance to the finals. On March 9 Enslin
will conclude her competition on March 9 in the 100 freestyle race. Swimmer Clarissa
Enslin placed 30th today in the 50-yard freestyle during the preliminary round of competition at the
NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Enslin finished with
a personal best time of 23.91 seconds but did not advance to the finals. On March 7 she will
compete in the 200 freestyle event. Enslin is scheduled to conclude her competition March 9 in

Enslin, a junior, will compete in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle events at the NCAA Division II National Championships. The championship
will be held March 6-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
Enslin’s first event
will be the 50 freestyle preliminaries at 11 a.m. March 7. A three-time
All-American, Enslin won the 100 and 200 freestyle events last month at the
PSAC championships at Mechanicsburg, Pa.
She won the 200 freestyle event for the third consecutive year. Enslin earned
All-American honors in the 200 freestyle last year, when she placed 13th,
and in 2011, when she placed 7th. She also also part of the 2012 Cal
U All-American 200 freestyle relay team, which finished fifth.UPDATE: March 9,
