Distance runner Aaron Dinzeo, a junior, finished 5th in the 5,000-meter event and earned All-American honors at the 2013 NCAA Division II Track and Field Outdoor Championships.

Dinzeo finished with a time of 14:41.84.

The championship meet was held at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo.

Junior distance runner Aaron Dinzeo will represent Cal U’s track and field program at the 2013 NCAA Division II Track and Field Outdoor Championships, which will be held at the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo.

Dinzeo will compete in the 5,000-meter run at 10:30 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) May 25.

A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the outdoor championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching the automatic and provisional standards established for each event.

Earlier this month Dinzeo finished second at the PSAC Outdoor Championships to earn all-conference honors for a third time. He earned All-America status in March by placing seventh in the 5,000-meter run at the 2013 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, held in Birmingham, Ala.
