Sophomore Carla Maestre shot a 7 over-par 79 during the third round and finished tied for 17th place at 19-over -par at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Super Regional Championships.


UPDATE: May 4, 2015

Sophomore Carla Maestre shot a 5 over-par 77 and is tied for 17th place after the second round of the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Super Regional Championships. She finished the second round of play at 12-over par.

The three-round tournament concludes May 5 at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill.

Sophomore Carla Maestre will compete in the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf East Super Regional Championships from May 3-5 at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont, Ill.

The top three teams and the top three golfers not with a team from each of the four super-regional championships will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships from May 13-16 at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.

Maestre tied for sixth overall at last year’s NCAA Division II East Super Regional Championship, becoming the program's first individual qualifier for the NCAA National Championships since 2009.  She finished 44th at the 2014 national tournament.
