MEN'S GOLF TEAM FINISHES TIED FOR SEVENTH

The men’s golf team was 56 over-par and finished tied for seventh place after the third and final round of the 20-team NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships.

Kirby Manown and Tyler Robinson were each 1 over-par 73 in the third round and both finished tied for 26th overall along with teammate Alex Patricio. All three juniors were 13 over-par after three-rounds.

The three-round tournament took place at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y.


UPDATE: May 3, 2016

The men’s golf team is 42 over-par and tied for 11th place after the second round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships.

Junior Alex Patricio shot a 4-over-par 76 in the second round and is tied for 15th place heading into the final day.

The three-round tournament concludes May 4 at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

The men’s golf team is 26 over-par and in 15th place after the first round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships.

Junior Alex Patricio was the Vulcans’ top individual golfer through round one. He is tied for 18th with a 3 over-par 75.

The three-round tournament continues May 3 at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

The men’s golf team will compete in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Region Championships May 2-4 at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

The top five teams and the top two golfers not with a team from each region will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships, set for May 17-21 at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver, Colo.

This marks the ninth consecutive year that the Cal U men’s golf team has competed in the NCAA Regional contest. Last spring the Vulcans finished 11th in regional competition. The team last qualified for the NCAA National Championship in 2013, when Cal U finished in 20th place.
