GO Army Applicants

Cal U Global Online is proud to offer seven approved programs of study through GOArmyEd, a virtual gateway that enables soldiers on active duty, along with their spouses and dependents, to request Tuition Assistance (TA) and apply and register online for approved classroom and online courses. This online portal automates many of the paper-based processes soldiers historically conducted with their Army education counselor.

GOArmyEd Application and Tuition Assistance

First, visit https://www.goarmyed.com/Login.aspx to apply for one of the seven approved GOArmyEd programs and register for your classes. (Unlike other branches, active-duty Army soldiers who register through GoArmyEd do not need to fax a copy of their military ID or military orders with a note attached indicating they recently submitted an admission application.

It's important to note that California University of Pennsylvania does not allow for open registration into our classes. In order to take a class and process TA through the GOArmyEd portal, students must be in one of the approved programs and taking the classes in the prescribed sequence associated with the program. In some cases, a student can take just one course as a visiting student, but he or she would apply directly to California University and pay the $25 application fee via our Student Self Service process. This must be completed outside of the GOArmyEd portal. Once the application is processed, the student must register via Student Self Service, pay for the course by the billing due date, and process TA with the Army on his or her own. Visiting students in the fall and spring must submit transcripts to take a class; however; this step is not required in the summer term. To access our Student Self Service website, click here: https://sisweb.calu.edu

The difference/amount that your Army TA will not cover is your financial responsibility and is due up front by the due date and/or start of each semester. It is the soldier's/student's responsibility to know how much the Army will be submitting in TA per semester. You can view your status of TA via your GoArmyEd Portal account. In addition, you can view your Cal U billing statement via the Student Self Service website as well as make the payment at https://sisweb.calu.edu.

Paying the Application Fee

In order to receive an admissions decision, GoArmyEd students are first required to pay an application fee of $25 via the Cal U Student Self Service web page, after the common application has been processed from the Go ArmyEd portal (this process can take several days).

  3. Enter your login ID and click continue
  4. Enter your PIN (six-digit birth date mmddyy)
  5. You should see that the application for admission you submitted through the GOArmyEd portal is now an Application in Progress on the Student Self Service website. Click the "Review Application" Link
  6. Review the application and scroll down to the end of the page and click the "I'm Ready to Submit My Application" link
  7. Review basic application details and click the "Submit My Application" link.
  8. Under the payment options, click the "Pay the Application Fee with a Credit Card" link.
  9. Enter the credit card information and click the "Submit Payment" link.
