2012-2013 Financial Aid Award Information

Financial Aid Award Letters for first time Freshmen will be mailed to the student's permanent address in late March.

New transfer students and returning undergraduate and graduate students will begin to receive their Financial Aid Award notification in early June.

Students that apply for Summer Financial Aid will begin to receive Financial Aid Award notification in early May.

As indicated in your award letter: After reviewing your Financial Aid Award Package, it is important to visit our website to view very specific and detailed information regarding the types of aid you have been awarded.  You will learn what you need to do, if anything, to finalize these award(s).  You will also gain a better understanding of how the various aid programs function.

Listed to the right are links to various sections of the Financial Aid website that will help you gain a better understanding of the various types of financial aid included in your award.  Each area discusses in detail awards such as Federal Pell Grants, PHEAA Grants (PA residents only), Federal Direct Stafford Loans and the Work Study Program.  Please take the time to read these sections carefully.

We also encourage you to continually monitor your Financial Aid award(s) on our Cal U VIP (Vulcan Information Portal). Here you can view the most current information regarding your awards and any changes that may have been made to them.  First time Freshmen will obtain access from the Office of Admissions shortly after being accepted. The information included within your Financial Aid Award Package, mailed to your permanent address, is the same as the information available on VIP.
