New Student Orientation

At your New Student Orientation session, you and your family will really get a sense of what it will be like for you to attend Cal U. 

Break the ice at new student orientationHere's what you can expect:

  • Discover the hot spots to eat, study and meet new friends.
  • Confirm your schedule. 
  • Attend sessions on topics that include: 
    • Financial aid 
    • Academic success 
    • Career and professional development 
    • Health services 
    • Living on campus 
    • Other basics of campus life
  • Smile! You’ll receive your Cal U ID Card.
  • Get to know other incoming students, our student ambassadors, and some of our staff.

Arrival time

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. to complete the check-in process. Our Orientation program begins at 9 a.m. for all students. Placement Testing (if required) will be available in at 2:30 p.m.

Departure time

The Orientation program typically ends around 2:30 p.m. Please plan to stay for the entire program.
