Cool Things We're Doing
Producing vignettes for Heinz History Center
The Music Department has partnered with the Senator John Heinz History Center to produce a series of video vignettes to be presented as part of the center’s focus on Pittsburgh jazz artists.
Each 5- to 7-minute vignette focuses on one Pittsburgh artist, such as Billy Strayhorn, Johnny Costa, Henry Mancini and others.
All audio recording, mixing, editing and video is being produced in the Music Department as part of a student practicum under the guidance of Professor Greg Davis.
Not only will these vignettes be available for viewing at the center, they also will be used as the basis for history center volunteers who give outreach presentations to local organizations.
View all of the vignettes below or choose a specific vignette on the history center's YouTube channel.
