Since 2002, Wellcoaches has delivered well-respected coach training, education, certification and support in partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine. Programs are high-impact and science-based. Wellcoaches also has co-founded and co-leads the International Consortium for Credentialing Health & Wellness Coaches, which has partnered with the National Board of Medical Examiners, to deliver a national board certification for health and wellness coaches.

Degree Options

Cal U offers a master's degree program in exercise science and health promotion with a concentration in wellness coaching. Cal U students also can choose a dual concentration to study wellness coaching with one of these four areas: performance enhancement and injury prevention, rehabilitation science, wellness and fitness, or sport psychology.

Sports Counseling Graduate Certificate Courses

The three-course (9-credit) graduate certificate in sports counseling has a summer start date and is delivered 100% online. Courses will not certify you as a professional counselor, but may be utilized as Act 48 continuing education units, and applied toward Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) credentials.
