Affordable On-Campus and Online MBA Programs

Affordable On-Campus and Online MBA Programs

An Affordable MBA option

At California University of Pennsylvania, we're committed to making a high-quality Master of Business Administration education accessible – and affordable.

Cal U gives you the opportunity to start — and finish — your degree 100% online, so you can continue working and fulfilling other responsibilities in your life. You can focus on getting ahead by pursuing your MBA, while you’re still working and earning.

You also can choose to pursue your MBA degree on campus as a full-time or part-time student.

Cal U’s online MBA program is less expensive than almost all competitors. The out-of-state cost-to-degree for Cal U’s online MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship is less than most other competitor schools, according to Hanover Research. Several competitor MBA programs – including the two most expensive, Penn State World Campus and Suffolk University – also do not differentiate costs based on students’ residency status.

For students who prefer to study on campus, costs at Cal U compare favorably to Pittsburgh-area universities – and are more affordable than many private universities in Pennsylvania and across the country.

Online MBA Advantages

You can earn your MBA online at Cal U while working and managing other aspects of your life.  That’s because we make it convenient to learn anywhere, any time. You can stay in your current job and continue earning, while you take important steps to improve your future career opportunities.

Investing your time, money and effort in an online MBA at Cal U will lead to important returns that enhance your career throughout your lifetime.

We work with you to design an affordable MBA education that fits your budget. Graduate students at Cal U are eligible for federal graduate-level loans totaling $20,500 per year.

Cal U’s Military Tuition Discount – available to military members, veterans and their eligible dependents – applies to 100% online MBA programs. Under the Military Tuition Discount, eligible online MBA students pay $399 per credit, or 90% of the in-state rate, no matter where they reside. This is a savings of more than $300 per credit for out-of-state residents.

Cal U’s Global Online students do not pay fees for on-campus services and, in many cases, are eligible for a reduced, competitive, non-resident tuition rate.

Your MBA’s Added Value

Deepen your expertise. When you invest in a Cal U MBA, you can expect to build a solid business foundation that makes you job-ready to compete effectively in our global economy. But you also can choose a specialization to move your learning to the next level and gain a vital competitive edge – and higher salaries – in today’s workplace.

MBA students can choose from three concentrations: business analytics, healthcare management and entrepreneurship.

  • Business analytics: More data means more jobs, so you can choose an MBA concentration in business analytics. MBA students who specialize in business analytics explore trends in information technology and learn how to transform data into meaningful tools to drive business strategies.
  • The healthcare management MBA concentration provides the necessary tools and skills for students who want to pursue careers in a variety of healthcare settings.
  • The entrepreneurship concentration helps students develop business fundamentals to transform start-up ideas into results-focused enterprises.

According to the Graduate Management Admission Council, the findings of its 2017 Corporate Recruiters Survey show that 1 in 4 employers who planned to hire recent MBA graduates in 2017 said that specialized MBA graduates tend to receive higher starting salaries compared to traditional MBA graduates. Employers in the manufacturing industry are the most likely to say they tend to offer higher starting salary to those with a specialized MBA degree (40%), compared with 28 percent of finance/accounting companies, 26 percent of technology companies, and 22 percent of consulting companies.

Double your degree. Cal U offers dual degrees to train today's nurse leaders: This means you can choose the MSN-MBA dual degree or the MBA-Nursing Administration and Leadership degree. Both are 100% online programs. You can earn two degrees in less time – and for less money.
