Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Certificate

Classes begin Summer I Session Annually

Are you a coach looking to become an athletic director or teach? Are you a recent college graduate interested in working in the field of sports management? Our Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Certificate program will help you earn pay raises and make yourself more marketable in this competitive marketplace.

We designed our program for both degree and certificate candidates. The Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Certificate online program is intended for post-baccalaureate students desiring to further develop their critical and analytical skills for application in the core content areas of sport management. You'll be eligible for a graduate certificate upon completion of the 12 credits of the intercollegiate athletic administration program.

You'll learn about the power and politics of sport organizations that govern intercollegiate athletics, mandatory compliance techniques, gender equity issues and human resource strategies to successfully deal with everyday problems that may arise with coaches, staff and personnel of an intercollegiate athletic department.

Our curriculum has been uniquely structured to cover the basic foundations of the sports industry. Course materials will be presented in modular format, making them more conducive to presentation via the Internet. Information will be provided via video, PowerPoint presentations and online forums. Discussion groups, chat rooms and e-mail will allow the cohort to communicate and interact in order to provide valuable insight to discussions.
