Land Management Certificate

Students who have at least a high school diploma and are seeking additional education, experience and credentials to enter the land management industry can choose to earn the land management certificate at Cal U. This accelerated program consists of 31 credits that can be completed in three semesters. It focuses on legal topics, oil- and gas-related land management, surface and sub-surface geology, and geographical information systems (GIS).

Professional Tools

Land management students in the B.A. in Jurisprudence degree program learn to use important tools to help their work in the future.  They receive a free online subscription to Westlaw through Cal U's Manderino Library to use in projects to develop strong legal research skills. In addition, students are provided with specialized GIS software, which combines database functions with computer mapping to map and analyze geographic data.
