As you can probably guess, we think it’s Cal U! And there’s tons that we can tell you about the dedicated and driven learning community you’ll be a part of as a student here. Saturday Open House
Sept. 28 / Nov. 9

We’ll start out at Natali Student Center (park in Lot 17 just behind the center). 
When: Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. Things will wrap up around 2 p.m.

9:30 - 10 a.m. Registration and Check-in

Let us know you’ve arrived! Check in and get a packet of information and your name tag.

10 - 11 a.m. Welcome and Overview from Admissions

We’ll kick things off with a short presentation. Admissions and Financial Aid will give you the rundown on some things that are handy to know.

11a.m. – Noon Academic Spotlight

You’ll meet faculty from the academic department that goes with your major and get a taste of what you can expect as a student here at Cal U. Learn about classes your academic department offers and student organizations that are related to your major. Find out about hands-on learning opportunities. And be sure to ask lots of questions!      

Noon– 1 p.m. Lunch and Campus Information Fair

Grab a bite to eat in the Gold Rush. Eating on campus is part of the college experience—and we think you’ll love it!

Then take a stroll through the campus marketplace. It’s a great chance to connect with our staff in one centralized location. 

You can talk to folks from Admissions, Financial Aid, Housing, Study Away, OSD, Academic Success, Student Services and more. Transfer counselors will also be on hand. Plus, you can learn about clubs and organizations and other opportunities.

1 – 2 p.m. Walking Tour of Campus

Student-led tours will give you a chance to explore our campus — and to picture yourself here as a student!

2 p.m. Check Out

Before you head out, don’t forget to pick up your free Cal U t-shirt!

You’ll have some time to gather your things, get to your classroom and settle in.

11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Lunch, Classes and Information Sessions

Geta taste of college life by sitting in on classes taught by Cal U professors. You’ll be able to select from a menu of courses that will allow you to do things such as:

  • Discover extreme and unusual weather phenomena
  • Apply current technology within a PreK-12 classroom
  • Examine violent crime through the lens of behavioral analysis
  • And so much more

(You’ll be able to select from a menu of courses when you register for open house.) 

And don’t forget to grab a bite to eat in the Gold Rush. Eating on campus is part of the college experience—and we think you’ll love it!
