Spring 2016 Cal U for Life New Student Orientation
CONGRATULATIONS on your acceptance to Cal U! We look forward to your arrival on campus for the Spring semester.
Our Cal U for Life Orientation Program will get you started on the right foot and we promise that you will learn much and have fun doing it!
Orientation Dates and Times
- Friday, January 15, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. OR
- Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Please NOTE the following information when planning to attend this required orientation event:
Move-in Day for the Spring 2016 semester is Sunday, January 17, 2016 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon. If you are planning to live in our campus residence halls or Vulcan Village, you will attend Cal U for Life New Student Orientation on Sunday, January 17, 2016. University Offices will be open on Friday, January 15th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ONLY. All offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 for the first day of spring semester classes. Transfer students may attend either date, provided that you will not be living in the University Residence Halls. Commuter students have the option of attending either day.
Orientation activities include informational sessions and activities designed to ease your transitional anxiety! Topics will include Academic Success, D2L, Time Management, Personal Wellness, Personal Success, Career Services/Internships, Mentoring and many more! CLASSES BEGIN Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
To prepare for your orientation session and the start of the spring semester you SHOULD:
- If you have not yet submitted your advanced tuition deposit, please contact the Office of Admissions at 888-412-0479 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
- If you do not yet have a schedule for the Spring 2016 semester, contact the Academic Scheduling Center. They will assist you in scheduling your classes. You may do this via email at email@example.com or phone 724-938-1608. Please include your CWID and major in all communications.
