The California University of Pennsylvania Office of Veterans Affairs (CALU VA) welcomes all Veterans, eligible dependents, Service-members of the National Guard and Reserve component and Active Duty Service-members to California University of Pennsylvania. Your benefits are designed to assist you as you work toward your education goals at California University of Pennsylvania.

The CALU VA main campus office is the primary resource center for California University of Pennsylvania's Main Campus, Southpointe Campus and Global Online Veterans. The information on these web pages apply to the CALU VA main campus and are subject to change. In the event that you are unable to visit campus during regular scheduled business hours, please contact the CALU VA via e-mail. Someone will assist you within 24-48 hours.


Office Location Change!

CALU VA - The Office of Veterans Affairs has temporarily moved to the 3rd Floor of the Manderino Library, Room 317. The Veterans lounge is currently located in Manderino Library, Room 316. The Office of Veterans Affairs is expected to return to Carter Hall in July or August 2015.

"22 Pushups Raise Suicide Awareness" January 22, 2015

Each day, 22 U.S. military veterans die by suicide, according to the 2012 VA Suicide Data Report.

To raise awareness of this public health crisis, Cal U ROTC and the Veterans Club met on the Quad at 11:22 a.m. weekdays, from Jan. 22-Feb. 20, and performed 22 pushups each. For more information, visit:

Banner project honors YOUR Veteran or Service member

Honor the military service of a colleague, friend or family member with a banner that will be displayed on the California University of Pennsylvania campus in November 2015. Orders will be accepted after May 1, 2015, for these colorful banners honoring past or current military service. Businesses are invited to sponsor individual banners.

Appointments: *The CALU VA office is available for appointments or scheduled site visits during non business hours by contacting with your name, information being requested, and time, date and location for visit. The CALU VA requests at least 48 hours notice for scheduling non business hour appointments.

Active-duty, reserve and National Guard components of the U.S. military compete May 2-3 to earn the prestigious German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, one of the few foreign awards that U.S. military members may wear on their uniform.
Nine out of 10 students who begin an online bachelor's degree program at Cal U earn their diploma within six years. That success rate earned Cal U a No. 4 ranking on the U.S. News Short List, published online by U.S. News and World Report.

Two Cal U students will become second lieutenants, one in the U.S. Army and one in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, at a commissioning ceremony May 7 in Steele Hall. Speaker will be Capt. Joseph M. Ladisic a 13-year veteran of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
