Want to watch the December 2017 Commencement ceremonies LIVE? Visit our media site about 10 minutes before each commencement begins. 

Mr. Jack Zduriencik, Class of 1974, will address graduates when Cal U marks its 185th Commencement. Two ceremonies are planned:

  • Graduate ceremony (awarding master's degrees): 7 p.m. December 15 in the Convocation Center. Master’s degree candidates will be vested in their academic hoods during the ceremony. WATCH LIVE.
  • Undergraduate ceremony (awarding of bachelor and associate degrees): 10 a.m. December 16 in the Convocation Center. WATCH LIVE.

More than 600 undergraduates and 600 graduate students will receive their degrees, although not all will attend the ceremonies.

University President Geraldine M. Jones will confer the degrees and personally greet each graduate who walks across the stage.

Graduates’ families and friends are welcome to attend. No tickets are required; seating is first come, first served.
