Sponsored Programs & Research

The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research assists with all aspects of grant applications and funding opportunities, including identifying funding sources, helping with proposal development and submission, and providing post-award guidance and support.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

The Cal U Institutional Review Board is a standing committee, constituted according to federal regulations, that is responsible for ensuring that the rights and welfare of human research participants are protected. No research involving human subjects may be undertaken at Cal U without prior review by the IRB.

Faculty Professional Development Center (FPDC)

The Faculty Professional Development Center facilitates professional development opportunities that encourage faculty to engage in collaborative efforts related to teaching, scholarship, service and grant development.

Robots come out to play this year’s FIRST Robotics challenge, RECYCLE RUSH, March 5-7 in the Convocation Center. Watch 54 teams put their robots to the test in the exciting FIRST Robotics Greater Pittsburgh Regional Competition.
Mark your calendar for April 14, when Cal U holds its first Conference on Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity. Faculty and students are encouraged to participate, and to invite visitors from outside the campus community.
