Dr. Ahmet Akgun

Biography

Dr. Akgun began his teaching and research with Wichita State University and taught engineering economy courses during his Ph.D. studies. In August 2018, Dr. Akgun joined the California University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches Management Science 1 & 2, Quantitative Methods and Integrated Supply Chain Management courses. 

 

Dr. Akgun worked in manufacturing field as a supply chain and quality engineer after his undergraduate degree, has  experience in energy management and efficiency, and led an energy assessment team during his Ph.D. studies. He was involved in a project funded by Department of Energy and conducted more than 30 energy audits at small- to medium-sized manufacturing facilities in Kansas. Dr. Akgun is also certified as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
