Attorney Smith has taught a variety of graduate legal studies and undergraduate jurisprudence and legal studies courses at Cal U since January 2007. He also assisted the development of several current course offerings.
In addition to a Juris Doctor degree, Attorney Smith holds graduate degrees in criminal justice and legal studies / law and public policy. He maintains a private practice of law in Adams County, Pa., and is a member of the Adams County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. In addition to over 25 years of experience in private practice, Attorney Smith is a former law intern, Disciplinary Board, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania; a former municipal police officer; and a former member of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division/Joint Drug Suppression Task Force.

In addition to service as local counsel for various religious and fraternal organizations, Attorney Smith is a past National Judge Advocate for a congressionally chartered veterans organization.
