Biography
Attorney Smith has taught a variety of graduate legal studies and undergraduate jurisprudence and legal studies courses at PennWest California since January 2007. He also assisted the development of several current course offerings.
In addition to a Juris Doctor degree, Attorney Smith holds graduate degrees in criminal justice and legal studies / law and public policy. He maintains a private practice of law in Adams County, Pa., and is a member of the Adams County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. In addition to over 25 years of experience in private practice, Attorney Smith is a former law intern, Disciplinary Board, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania; a former municipal police officer; and a former member of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division/Joint Drug Suppression Task Force.

In addition to service as local counsel for various religious and fraternal organizations, Attorney Smith is a past National Judge Advocate for a congressionally chartered veterans organization.
