Department of Applied Engineering and Technology
Over the years Dr. Halkiadakis has been a faculty member at various universities, where he taught courses, published a few papers and guided senior design projects in the area of electrical engineering. He is a senior member of the IEEE and has held several offices in various societies/councils. Additionally he is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the state of California, where he served as forensic engineer and expert witness.
At Cal U, he has taught entry- to senior-level courses in electrical engineering technology. He has developed several new courses in the area of power systems, serves as faculty adviser to the student technology club, and offers his services to various departmental and university-wide committees.
Power systems/electronics, renewable energy, simulation/modeling, regulations and standards, circuit theory, technical writing in astronomy and music synthesizers.
