Biography
During his 37 years combined federal law enforcement, security and emergency management experience, Mr. Davidson has served in the U.S. Air Force, with NASA and the U.S. government.
He served in the security forces career field of the U.S. Air Force (enlisted) for four years, serving in multiple positions in the protection of Air Force Weapons Systems to include wing security controller, response force leader, and emergency services team member.
After his enlistment Mr. Davidson moved to Florida and worked for both the Air Force and NASA at Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center as a shift supervisor, security launch supervisor, physical security specialist, weapons officer, and shift trainer. He instructed DoD Level 1 / Level 2 Anti-Terrorism and State Department SAFE Training for personnel deploying overseas.
He also served as an overseas contingency landing site supervisor — supporting NASA emergency landing sites in Spain, France and Morocco — along with providing end of mission support at Edwards AFB, Calif., and White Sands Missile Range, N.M.
In 2007 Mr. Davidson relocated to Washington, D.C., and works there for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In the federal government he has served as program manager for Access Control of DHS headquarters facilities, the physical security division plans and policy branch chief, Emergency Response Group program manager, and Continuity of Operations program manager.
He is a senior security policy adviser to the chief security officers at Department of Homeland Security headquarters.
Mr. Davidson is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Security Police Academy and NASA’s Federal Law Enforcement Academy. He is FEMA certified as an emergency manager and instructor. He is a small-weapons expert and is trained on multiple weapons systems and as a hostage negotiator.
Mr. Davidson and his wife have four children and one grandchild and live in central Pennsylvania.
