Biography
Prest is originally from New Hampshire. As a librarian, he is proud that his town is home to the world's oldest free, tax-supported public library. He has lived in eight different states (two of them twice). Prest enjoys traveling and has visited many countries, including most of Europe, Russia, Israel, Canada, and Bermuda. He is particularly fond of Austria.
In 1995, Prest ended nine years of pastoral ministry and returned to graduate school to pursue his career as an academic librarian. He came to Cal U in 1998 as the library’s first electronic resources librarian and library webmaster.
