Dr. Abedalla-Surrey is a Fulbright Scholar and has been working in the field of languages and cultural advising since 2002. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the Students' Perceptions of the Use of Mobile Applications Technology in Learning Arabic as a Second Language. Dr. Abedalla-Surrey's main research interest is Arabic linguistics, Arabic culture, Arabic literature, and second language acquisition and technology. Dr. Abedalla-Surrey taught Arabic language at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh, La Roche College, International House in Philadelphia, Point Park University, Duquesne University, American Public University, and Slippery Rock University. He also worked for Carnegie Speech, L3 Communications, & MultiLingual Solutions as a curriculum developer and language instructor for the Arabic language. He also worked for the United Nations, WFP program in Iraq.
