Biography

Dr. Stephanie Adam, D.B.A., SHRM-SCP, joined the full-time faculty in the Business, Economics and Enterprise Sciences Department in Fall 2016. Prior to that she worked part time at several institutions, including Waynesburg University, Rasmussen College, Ohio Christian University, and Cal U. Dr. Adam spent nearly eight years working in the human resources department of a small manufacturing company in western Pennsylvania. Dr. Adam's doctoral dissertation focused on the use of corporate volunteerism in organizations, looking primarily at its effect on employees satisfaction. Her research focuses on generational differences in the workplace, bereavement leave policy adequacy, and MBA program innovation. Dr. Adam established Patrick J. Madden, Memorial 5k Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization that donated over $23,000 to the American Cancer Society in seven years. Service learning and community engagement are passions of Dr. Adam’s.
