Commencement Celebrations at Cal U
Cal U is proud to honor and celebrate its graduates. Formal Commencement ceremonies typically are held twice a year, at the close of the spring and fall semesters.
Because these ceremonies mark a significant milestone in a student’s academic journey, they will be held in person or postponed until it is safe to do so. The Guide to Operations outlines the University’s plans to hold Commencement ceremonies appropriate to the University’s operational level.
For our January and May 2021 Graduates
Cal U is operating at Level 3 and is planning to host modified, socially distanced ceremonies for the Spring 2021 semester.
Ceremonies will be held at in our Convocation Center and will be organized by College to reduce the number of attendees at each event. Tickets will be required.
- Graduate ceremony: All School of Graduate Studies and Research graduates will be invited to attend a ceremony on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 7 p.m.
- Undergraduate ceremonies:
- College of Education and Liberal Arts graduates will be invited to attend a ceremony on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10 a.m.
- Eberly College of Science and Technology graduates will be invited to attend a ceremony on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2 p.m.
