Commencement Celebrations at Cal U

Cal U is proud to honor and celebrate its graduates. Formal Commencement ceremonies typically are held twice a year, at the close of the spring and fall semesters, in our Convocation Center.

Because these ceremonies mark a significant milestone in a student’s academic journey, they will be held in person or postponed until it is safe to do so. The Guide to Operations, Fall 2020 outlines the University’s plans to hold Commencement ceremonies appropriate to the University’s operational level.

For our 2020 Graduates

Cal U is operating at Level 4 for the Fall 2020 semester, and in the interest of health and safety, Commencement again must be postponed.

All Class of 2020 (January, May, August and December) graduates will be invited to attend in-person ceremonies at a future date.

This page will be updated as new information is available.

REMINDER: All Prospective Graduates

Graduation is not automatic; students must apply the semester they are intending to graduate. Graduation information and details will be sent ONLY to students who have applied by the posted deadline. Although the date for ceremonies may have changed, students should apply for graduation as usual.

191st Commencement Celebration

A special thank you to PSECU for their generosity in providing mortarboards to each graduate for SGA’s “Decorate Your Cap” contest and for their sponsorship of GradSlides, allowing photos of our graduates to be included in the interactive Commencement program distributed in June.
