For Military Members and Veterans
Meet your educational goals in a supportive, welcoming environment.
California University of Pennsylvania takes pride in being a Military Friendly® School. We welcome all active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, eligible dependents and military veterans.
The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, in Residence Hall E, is the primary resource for service members and veterans. Whether you are studying on campus, taking classes at Cal U's Southpointe Center or enrolled in Cal U Global Online, the office stands ready to answer questions and offer assistance. It's a great place to meet other students with military experience.
Cal U also offers military-friendly housing in Residence Hall E for ROTC cadets, veterans and other students. Men and women who choose this residence hall option share their on-campus living experience with other students who have similar interests and backgrounds.
Receive priority registration for Cal U courses.
As a military member, veteran or dependent attending Cal U, you can register for on-campus or Global Online classes during the priority registration period each semester. In accordance with state Act 46, signed in 2014, military veterans receive a course scheduling preference. See the policy here.
Increasing course access is intended to ensure that student veterans have a better chance of enrolling in a full course load, so you can make optimum use of your education benefits before they expire.
Compare costs with the GI Bill® Comparison Tool
Cal U students who are eligible or utilizing U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs education benefits such as the GI Bill® are advised to compare benefits and costs of programs.
The GI Bill Comparison Tool will provide you with information such as total costs, out of pocket expense, eligibility and much more.
