Courtney Sinclair boasts a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in psychology with a minor in criminal justice.
Sinclair, a senior, was named the recipient of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Champion Scholar Award for the second-straight year.
She appeared in 19 games during the regular season while serving primarily as a pinch
hitter and defensive replacement.
A native of Ontario, Sinclair is the fourth student-athlete in school history, and
the first softball player, to earn the award multiple times in a career. The Vulcans
have received the honor 17 times since the award began in the 2011-12 academic year.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Award is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 Award and honors
the student-athlete with the top GPA that is competing at the site of each of the
PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar
is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete
with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 90 championships across
all three divisions – I, II and III.
